This room is full of my favorite things
Pothos, orchids, all living
Books that make my spirit sing
I leave the chaise
Walk across the room
I take a moment to gaze
My hand reaches for the metal
I rotate slowly, feeling the pressure release
I let the window settle
The smell of rain overcomes me
The mist laps my face
Green everywhere I see
I hear the cooing of doves
The droplets as they land on leaves
I look at the sky above
Grey, overcast
Spitting rain
I only wish it would last
Joe Hisaishi plays in the background
The dog continues to snore
It's in this peace I'm found
I walk to my desk
I take a seat
Returning to my work, I do my best
In my mind I dream
Running through a field
Grass up to my knees
Another day inside
Another day to ponder
I'll go out tomorrow, I decide
